  • Objectives This qualification is appropriate for managers of programs and services in the community services industry. They generally work independently, reporting to executive management or boards of management, and may work in a range of sectors, such as Housing, Children's Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, Disability and Aged Care. They undertake a range of functions requiring the application of knowledge and skills to achieve results in line with organisation's goals and strategic directions.
  • Entry requirements As a majority of assessment work will be completed using work based projects, it is essential that applicants are currently working in a supervisory, team leader or management role. Other Entry Requirements Eligibility criteria: 12 months experience as a supervisor/team leader/manager in community services and the ability to work at a post Year 12 academic level in time management, literacy, numeracy and computer skills.

    Duration Options

    The course is delivered flexibly, using a combination of workshops, study guides and work-based projects over a two year period. Workshops usually occur every 3-4 weeks. Participants also are able to apply for recognition of current skills and knowledge relevant to the coursework.
