    module:

    -   2 compulsory core units
    -   6 compulsory technical inventory units
    -   4 elective units of competency
    -   1 work experience module

The elective sub-groups in this Statement of Attainment were determined
through consultation with an industry working party and TAFE Institutes.
There are no AQF level 1 units in this course as they do not articulate
into CII and CIII qualifications. The AQF level 3 units are not included
as it was felt that these units were beyond the scope and iontent of this
    pre-vocational program.

The course structure is made up of 6 major groups of units and modules.
    These groups are:

GROUP 1     -   Core competency units - safety and environmental units
specified in many CII and CIII automotive training package (AUR05)
    qualifications.

GROUP 2     -   Compulsory automotive technical inventory units of
    competence.

GROUP 3     -   Automotive elective units - technical and other units of
competence from AUR05 as determined through the consultation
    process (see note 2).

GROUP 4     -   Work experience modules - modules that provide industry or
simulated industrial experiences that allow students to apply
and practice skills to assist in the achievement of the units
    of competence.

GROUP 5     -   Employment skills modules - modules that develop skills
and support students in gaining employment at the successful
completion of the course. These modules are enrichment modules

    Note:

    1)  The course structure does not dictate the order in which units/modules
be delivered. Institutes/Colleges shouls be flexible in order and method of
delivery and group units/modules in response to College and /or work
