Duration and Availability
The course is three years full-time or equivalent part-time study. It is expected that a substantial component of the course will consist of external study.
Course Organisation
The course structure consists mainly of elective units and enables the combination of a variety of available units relevant to a wide range of employment opportunities and to further study. There is an opportunity to select units from those being taught at the campus within other courses, external study options, units offered through Open Universities Australia, online units or project-based learning (at third-year level). Opportunities for cross-institutional enrolment will also be considered. A minimum of eight units at second year level and a minimum of five units at third year level must be undertaken in this course.
Career Opportunities
The multidisciplinary nature of a Bachelor of Arts provides broad analytical training instead of specialisation in any one area, thus maximising the career paths that can be followed. It is expected that many graduates will undertake postgraduate study in order to specialise.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
