Practical experienceWork Experience & Internships Some students without practical workplace experience, or with workplace experience in a field different from their studies, choose to undertake an internship as part of their degree. Enrolment
International Students: To fulfil your student visa requirements, you’ll need to enrol in 40cp per semester. Domestic Students: You have the option of undertaking either 30 or 40cp per semester.
Bond’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.
Professional Outcomes
The Bachelor of Information Technology provides students with the knowledge and skills essential
to becoming a multi-skilled IT professional capable of contributing at a high level working in areas spanning technology development through to strategic planning and business process management and modelling.
Graduates have a range of career paths open to them and could be employed in roles such as business consultant, systems and business analyst and programmer, networked applications developer, solutions and enterprise architect, researcher, project leader, process and client manager and IT educator.
Opportunities for more senior roles such as chief information officer or chief technology officer may arise as skills and experience develop.

The Bachelor of Information Technology is accredited at the Professional level by the Australian Computer Society (ACS)
Combined Degrees
Students can combine this degree with any other undergraduate degree at Bond (except Medicine) to suit their professional and personal interests. Bond's three-semester academic year allows students to complete two degrees in the same time it would take to complete just one degree at other universities (dependant upon degree combination).

A General Major of any 5 subjects satisfying the degree regulations may also be taken. A minimum of three 300 level subjects must be undertaken in a General Major.
Double Majors, for example Information Systems and Management, or Distributed Systems and Web Applications and Software Systems are encouraged.
IT ELECTIVES (5)
Student not undertaking a double major must choose 5 further IT subjects from any offered by the School of Information Technology.
Electives (2)
2 Further subjects may be selected from the undergraduate subjects offered from any Faculty/School within the university to complete the 24 necessary for graduation.
