Bachelor of Speech Pathology

  • Objectives Enables graduates to become speech pathologists. This course covers the full range of skills necessary to assess, plan, and treat people with communication disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing or fluency difficulties in a range of different contexts. The course is closely aligned with areas such as speech science, psychology, audiology, and allied healthcare. It also includes a substantial clinical practicum designed to provide the full range of clinical experience required for accreditation by the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.

    This course is available for on-campus study by students with an International student visa.

    This course structure contains information about the units which comprise the course as well as the credit points required to successfully complete it.

    The course is a 480 credit point (30 unit) course and is a 4 year (or part-time equivalent) course.

    The program will involve four specialisations. The specialisations are summarized below:

       1. Evidence, Analysis and Interpretation
       2. Speech Pathology Practice
       3. Professional Issues, Education and Development
       4. Cognitive Neuroscience of communication, Voice and Swallowing
