Duration Options
There are many study options available for Certificate II in Horticulture (Parks and Gardens), including:

- Industry based (on-the-job)

The total duration of the training program will be defined by the negotiated training plan, however you are encouraged to complete this qualification within 12 months.

Employment Opportunities
On successful completion of this certificate you will be eligible for employment in the parks and gardens sector as a general hand or as a gardening apprentice.
The Certificate II in Horticulture (Parks and Gardens) may be accepted as the equivalent of the first year of training required for an apprenticeship, thereby reducing the training component of a parks and gardens apprenticeship by 12 months.
Further Study Options
On successful completion of this course you may choose to progress to either the Certificate III in Horticulture (General) or the Certificate III in Horticulture (Parks and Gardens), presuming you are employed as an apprentice.
