  • Practical experience The Certificate II in Production Horticulture is only offered as part of a traineeship, so you must already be employed as a trainee within the production horticulture sector. Other Entry Requirements Basic literacy and numeracy.

    Employment Opportunities     

    On successfully completing this course you will be eligible for employment in the production horticulture sector as a general hand or as a production horticulture apprentice.

    The Certificate II in Production Horticulture may be accepted as the equivalent of the first year of training required for a production horticulture apprenticeship, thereby reducing the training component by 12 months.

    Further Study Options    

    Successful participants who continue to work in the production horticulture sector may progress to either the Certificate III in Horticulture (General) or the Certificate III in Production Horticulture.

    Assessment     You will be assessed as part of this course.
