ObjectivesThe Certificate III in Agriculture provides the opportunity for workers currently employed on a commercial farm - particularly sheep, beef and cropping - to build on their general farming skills.
Entry requirementsBasic literacy and numeracy. You must also be employed on a commercial farm and at least 16 years old. Other Entry Requirements Participants must be physically fit and prepared to work in an outdoor environment.

Duration Options
There are a number of study options available for the Certificate III in Agriculture, including:
* intergrated classes structured around working in industry
* Industry based (on-the-job)
The total duration of the training program will be defined by the negotiated training plan, however you are encouraged to complete this qualification within 24 months.

When you have successfully completed this course you will be eligible for work in a variety of jobs, including as a farm contractor, share farmer, or taking on more responsibility in your current job.
Further Study Options
On successful completion you may choose to apply for enrolment in the Certificate IV in Agriculture for example specialising in Bee Keeping.
