Certificate III in Education (Language & Literacy/Working with Students with Special Needs)
ObjectivesThis course is for people who are already working as an integration or teacher aide with students with special needs/or learning difficulties, and for those interested in persuing a career in these fields.
Entry requirementsYou will need the organisational, communication, study, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to the level required to study Year 12 successfully. Please note: you will be required to complete a current Police Check and/or Working With Children Check before working in schools. Other Entry Requirements You need to attend an Information Session, then complete an Expression of Interest Form and attend an interview before you are considered for entry into this course.

Duration Options
This is a two year part time course, however, you can study individual units according to which role-specific option is preferred (students with special needs or language & literacy). This course is also available through flexible delivery.

On successful completion of this course you will be eligible to apply for Integration Aide positions in primary and secondary schools and in pre school and child care settings.
