This course teaches you the fundamentals of electricity as well as the legal requirements and knowledge relating to safe working practices in the electrical industry. You will also learn about tools essential to the trade, and how to safely carry out your responsibilities to maintain and install electrical equipment and wiring.

Duration Options
The schooling component of this course is broken up into four years part time. For the first three years you are required to attend off-the-job training for a total of eight weeks, and in the forth year you are required to attend 1 week.
The on-the-job component is assessed over the four years by the work performance section of the competencies.
