ObjectivesThis course would be appropriate for people looking to work in the community providing services to people with disabilities, to older people who require support to remain living independently in the community and to their primary carers. This qualification is specifically designed for people seeking employment with Home and Community Care (HACC) services.
Entry requirementsApplicants are required to have the literacy skills equivalent to that of Year 10. Other Entry Requirements The selection process includes attendance at an information session and interview.

On successfully completing this course you will be eligible for employment in a range of positions, including: community support worker, home and community care worker, home carer worker, in-home respite worker, or planned activity assistant.
Further Study Options
On successful completion of this course you may wish to apply for enrolment in the Certificate IV in Science Coordination (Ageing and Disability). This Certificate IV would enable you to work at a supervisor/coordinator level.
