Certificate III in Information Technology

  • Objectives This course is offered to students with established general IT skills, through successful completion of Certificate II in IT, VCE studies or equivalent. If you do not already have these skills, look at the Certificate I or II in IT instead.
  • Entry requirements Students should complete the Certificate II in Information Technology or equivalent. Other Entry Requirements Students will be selected based upon their previous education results and/or employment experience.

    The course will be delivered full time over one semester in Bendigo. There may be some opportunity for students to enrol part time in Bendigo subject to availability of places.

    The course will be delivered over approximately 360 class hours.

    Employment Opportunities     

    On successfully completing this course you will have the knowledge and skills to provide basic diagnostic support to others using computers in both small business and large organisations, as well as in designing, installing, configuring, customising and managing a computer network, and implementing business objectives.

    You will be eligible for employment in computer support roles such as technical officer, customer service or help desk officer.

    Further Study Options     

    On successfully completing the Certificate III in IT, you may choose to apply for enrolment in Certificate IV in IT.
