  • Objectives This course provides both training and the recognition of existing knowledge and skills for people who are currently working in the national mining industry at the level of supervisor/team leader or above.
    You will gain skills allowing you to assume responsibility for the quality and quantity of the output of others, contribute to technical solutions and apply mine management plans in an open cut mine.
  • Entry requirements Certificate III in Metalliferous Mining Operations or relevant industry experience.
  • Academic title Certificate IV in Metalliferous Mining Operations (Open Cut)
  • Course description Key Study Areas      

    This course includes ten mandatory units covering risk management, statutory compliance, environmental practices, quality and communications. In addition to this you will be asked to nominate five electives from topics such as:

        * First Aid
        * Blasting
        * People management
        * Safety
        * Application and monitoring of services and systems
