  • Course description This unit is concerned with the workers ability to carry out their work in a safe manner within the health care environment

    Recommended for: Any person required to provide first aid as an initial response to an emergency situation at work or at home.

    Elements
    1. Follow organisation procedures, for a particular task, to minimize risk of injury
    2. Utilise and implement strategies as directed to improve workplace organisation

    Assessment Method: Participation in class discussions, demonstration of practical skills and written assessment

    Course Award: On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency from the Health Training Package, Follow safe manual handling practices HLTHSE204B and a wallet card
