ObjectivesIn this course you will be introduced to the basic legal concepts and areas of law you’re likely to confront as a manager. It will provide you with an analytical framework for addressing legal issues and emphasises legal problem-solving through the application of prior decisions (precedent cases) in a number of key areas of business law. You will complement your core studies with other law topics chosen to suit your current and future career needs. Specialist areas such as international, criminal, industrial relations and public relations law are available.

Introduction

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
Applicants must have either a bachelor degree in any field from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, or equivalent qualification, or substantial work experience including at least two years in the field of industrial relations, law or legal issues in commerce.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis. Recognition of prior learning may be given to students who have completed equivalent units previously studied in another postgraduate course in a recognised Australian tertiary institution or equivalent qualification, to a maximum of 25 credits.
Duration and Availablity
The course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study.
