  • Objectives The program takes a cross-disciplinary approach to infrastructure procurement and management. All programs are delivered by experienced professionals in government and industry and wide use is made of relevant industry case studies and contemporary issues to ensure content reflects current developments. The program will be of interest to anyone with a professional interest in the fields of economic and social infrastructure, procurement, local government, public policy and regulation, project advisory services, engineering, project and risk management, finance, traffic studies, planning and public administration .Graduates of this program will acquire a specialist understanding of the infrastructure sector at three levels. * First, the role of public policy formation and implementation, the role of infrastructure at national and regional economy level, regulation and its contribution to microeconomic performance. * Second, at industry level, including industry analysis and comparative studies and, project financing in the public and private sectors. Case studies will examine contemporary issues in industry sectors such as freight transport, energy, water and urban transport. * Third, at project level which includes a study of major project procurement, public private partnerships, alliance contracting, project and risk management.
  • Entry requirements Admission to the Graduate Certificate of Infrastructure Management requires the successful completion of any undergraduate degree, plus two years’ work experience in the applicant’s given field (or qualifications and/or extensive relevant professional experience deemed equivalent by the Faculty Dean).

    International Students: To fulfil your student visa requirements, you’ll need to enrol in 40cp per semester.
    Domestic Students: You have the option of undertaking either 30 or 40cp per semester.

    Bond’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.

    Intensive Mode delivery*

    Intensive Mode Delivery (IMD) is designed to accommodate the busy schedules of professional people. All subjects are delivered by intensive mode using two by two-day or three-day sessions with a break of up to 4 weeks between each session.

    Sessions may involve a Thursday, Friday and a Saturday to minimise the impact on business and home life. In 2008, this program will be offered in Sydney. Intensive Mode Delivery is currently available to domestic students only. International students may be able to undertake this course in conjunction with other programs, and should enquire with the Faculty Program Advisor.

    Professional Outcomes

    Articulation

    Students interested in further studies may be able to progress to Postgraduate Diploma or Master programs in 2009. Additional subjects that may be offered in 2009 include:
