There are no prerequisites for this course. Also note that Level 1 First Aid is NOT a prerequisite for this course.

Course description
Level 2 First Aid is a qualification that must be updated every three years for holders to remain current under the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines. This course is conducted over two consecutive days
Topics covered during this two-day program include:
*
basic life support - CPR, cardiac and breathing emergencies;
*
allergic reactions, shock, altered conscious states;
*
diabetes;
*
spinal & musculoskeletal injuries;
*
soft tissue injuries, bleeding and wound care;
*
exposure, burns, bites, stings, & poisoning;
*
infection control;
*
reporting injuries and illnesses.
You will be provided with a First Aid manual and Triangular bandage to keep.
BRIT runs this First Aid Level 2 program in conjunction with Echuca Regional Health. For courses in Echuca you will be provided with a First Aid manual and Triangular bandage to keep and bookings can be made in person at BRIT Echuca Campus - cnr Hare and Darling streets or by phone on 1300 554 248.
Accreditation
This course is accredited by BRIT and contains some units which have National Recognition. For further information please speak to the course coordinator or teacher.
