ObjectivesThe Master of Business (Professional) program provides an opportunity for students who wish to change their focus, as well as providing a strong grounding for career advancement in business. There are four separate streams – Marketing, Finance, International Business or a customised program incorporating all three.
Practical experienceWork Experience & Internships Some students without practical workplace experience, or with workplace experience in a field different from their studies, choose to undertake work experience and internships in addition to their degree. This intensely practical professional development approach fosters graduates who are ready, willing and able to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in the workplace.
Entry requirementsAdmission to the Master of Business (Professional) is based on an assessment of prior academic record and motivation. Specifically we require a quality undergraduate degree from a recognised institution.

Course descriptionEnrolment
International Students: To fulfil your student visa requirements, you’ll need to enrol in 30cp per semester. However, you may enrol in 40cp per semester (with your Program Advisor’s authorisation) which will reduce the time to complete your program.
Domestic Students have the option of undertaking either 30 or 40cp per semester.
PROFESSIONAL OUTCOMES
Graduates should have highly developed planning, analytical and interpersonal skills that will enable them to professionally advance their career prospects in business. The program also provides global networking opportunities.
WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING
Work Integrated Learning is designed to promote and support student learning, personal development and professional practice. Students will participate in a series of experiential exercises which may include field trips, seminars featuring guest lectures from industry leaders, work experience and projects. All exercises are monitored by academic staff and in conjunction with career advisor. The subject aims to: facilitate students’ self-analysis and reflective issues and problems; and apply theoretical knowledge in seeking solutions for practical workplace problems.
