    Introduction

Information and communication technologies are increasingly reshaping global business and many facets of human endeavour. With technological advances, specialist expertise in areas such as communication networks, mobile radio communications and digital signal processing is increasingly required in the telecommunications industry. This course provides a solid foundation for Telecommunications and Networking and develops specialist knowledge and expertise in areas of current and future importance.

    Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical, communications and/or electronics, computer engineering or a related discipline from a recognised university. That degree must include topics on circuit theory, probability theory, signal processing, computer programming, and Fournier analysis.

    Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

    Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. Part-time progression is subject to availability of units, sequencing of units within the course and visa requirements. Due to the coherent nature of the program, entry is only available in March each year.

    Course Organisation

The Program coordinator may allow one unit substitution (apart from the research project) to allow specialisation in a relevant area.

    Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
