Master of Professional Accounting (Non Graduate Entry)
ObjectivesThis 2 ½ year masters degree provides students with a transition from vocational study to higher education. The program then proceeds to equip the student with high level skills in accounting, finance, computer software applications, economics, statistics, and business law, empowering them with the skills and capacity necessary to undertake high level accounting analyses, research and advice. The program is currently accredited by Australia's professional accrediting bodies and is constantly being reviewed to maintain accreditation. Graduates are eligible for membership of CPA Australia, the ICAA, and the National Institute of Accountants (NIA), and conditional upon elective courses selected, the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA).
Entry requirementsStudents must have completed: * a two-year, post-Year 12 qualification recognised as being at least equivalent to an Australian diploma; or * a qualification from an overseas institution or organisation assessed as being at least equivalent to the above by the professional bodies that accredit this program of study. Exemptions To be eligible for an exemption from a course in this program a student must have received a 'Pass' or above in a course of equivalent content and rated units of credit from an approved program and be at least at post-graduate level. Exemptions will be assessed with reference to the requirements of the professional bodies that accredit this program of study. No substitutions will be granted for any course in this program.

This is a specialised and specific program which equips graduates in non-accounting disciplines with the necessary skills for employment in accounting and financial management orientated careers.
This program will further develop your technical skills, while honing your analytic and problem-solving abilities. Your studies will have a wide base, including such areas as computing, economics and auditing, so you will have the skills you need to work in many different areas of accounting.
