Master of Urban Horticulture

  • Course description The Master of Urban Horticulture is a unique offering within postgraduate horticultural education. It focuses on the design and implementation of urban landscapes and their management. Students study landscape production and management, plant science, arboriculture and open space management amongst eight hectares of nineteenth century ornamental gardens at the Burnley campus. Emphasis is placed on technological, environmental and managerial points of view.

    Students are required to self-direct their learning and apply problem solving, communication and team management to an independent industry focused project demonstrating integrated research, problem solving and statistical skills.

    Students who have completed 100 points in the program (Year 1) and do not wish to proceed will be awarded a Graduate Diploma in Urban Horticulture. Please note that students are not permitted to enrol directly into this exit award.

    This course is approved for Austudy.
