Postgraduate Qualifying Program (Engineering) (International Students)
ObjectivesDeakin University's Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) will develop the core skills you need for success at selected postgraduate level courses at Deakin. The Deakin University Postgraduate Qualifying Program is a non-award program designed to provide a quality pathway to Deakin University's postgraduate programs in Engineering. Other pathways include Business and Information Technology. Combining English language training and academic studies, the PQP is designed for students whose academic qualifications and/or English proficiency levels are marginally below the entry requirements for postgraduate programs at Deakin University. The PQP is taught by the Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology (MIBT) and Deakin University's English Language Institute (DUELI). Both institutions are co-located in a new purpose built building on Deakin University's Melbourne Campus at Burwood with state-of-the-art classroom facilities. The emphasis is on developing the skills necessary for success at postgraduate level. Students who complete the particular pathways within the PQP will meet the academic and English language requirements for entry into specified coursework postgraduate programs at Deakin University.

Course descriptionFees and charges
International tuition fees for the Postgraduate Qualifying Programs are charged on a per course basis. Rates will be set annually and enrolled students will be invoiced at the prevailing rate. Invoices will be issued each trimester.

* Include certified/notarised evidence of your academic qualifications and English language proficiency.
* Enclose a non-refundable application fee of A$55 either by bankdraft made payable to Deakin University, or by completing the Payment of application fee by credit card section on the application form.
* Send or fax your form and documents to the relevant office contained in the Postgraduate Qualifying Program publication (link above).
