CQU Mackay offers a range of programs in arts, music and performance, business, health, education, engineering, science, information technology, multimedia and communication.

The campus is home to the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM), located in a purpose-built facility.  It features a 200-seat professionally equipped theatre with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and recording equipment.

The campus also features the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence – a resource centre researching the impacts of domestic and family violence.
