    Nursing is at an exciting time in terms of education. Nurses have the benefit of a wide range of courses available at all levels throughout Australia. These courses help Registered Nurses (RNs) acquire additional qualifications at a university level to assist them in their career and everyday work.

    CSU’s Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) has played a leading role in nurse education in Australia. Charles Sturt University was one of only three institutions that pioneered the introduction of nurse education in colleges and universities. The Bachelor degree for registered nurses (RNs) commenced in 1986.

    The Bachelor of Nursing Science (equivalent to a four-year degree) is available to International students in Canada and elsewhere who are Registered Nurses wishing to upgrade their diploma qualification to a degree.

    Completion of the Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) awards students the equivalent of a three-year degree that is a nationally accredited and registered award in tertiary education.

    Graduation requirements

    To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 192 points, comprising the credit package of 128 points or 160 points awarded upon admission and 64 points or 32 points respectively completed during enrolment in the course.
