Objectives
Will offer an innovative and broad study approach which prepares students for flexible career options in the dynamic healthcare environment. Inclusive of the public health, social and clinical aspects of nursing and midwifery, this course will cater for industry requirements and provide students with the knowledge and skills to deliver care within the clinical, policy and/or organisational context of Western Australian healthcare. This comprehensive course aims to prepare graduates to assume beginning level midwifery and comprehensive nursing responsibilities across the wide spectrum of healthcare contexts and cultural groups where nursing and midwifery is practised. The application for approval of this four-year course as a pathway for registration as a nurse and midwife has been submitted to the Nurses and Midwives Board of Western Australia.
