    This introductory course provides you with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for future employment and training as an apprentice joiner, shopfitter, stair builder (kitchen or furniture) manufacturer.

    Employment Opportunities     

    Upon completion you will be able to lead onto a range of Certificate III courses to suit your interests and industry needs, requiring only 12 weeks of further training and reducing your apprenticeship from 4 years to 3.5 years.

    This course has proven to provide strong and direct links to the building and construction industry.

     Further Study Options    

    This course leads to further apprenticeship training in joinery or carpentry, AutoCAD, Certificate IV in Domestic Building Management, Certificate IV in Residential Drafting and the Diploma of Building Design and Technology.
