  • Objectives
    This apprenticeship course provides the off-the-job training component of a construction apprenticeship in the joinery stream. You will learn the knowledge, skills and applications required for making doors, windows, cupboards, etc., as well as the construction and installation of timber stairs, aluminium shop fronts and shop fittings.
  • Entry requirements
    Before you begin your training you must gain full time employment as an apprentice, under a training agreement established with your employer. Other Entry Requirements Basic numeracy and literacy skills. A genuine interest in this area (e.g. previous hobby projects) is a definite advantage.

    Employment Opportunities    

    On successfully completing this course you will be eligible for employment in a joinery workshop, working with timber, aluminium and/or glass.
