Objectives
This course is designed for those wishing to gain entry-level training for a career in the multimedia industry. You will learn skills and knowledge in a range of artistic, administrative and technical duties, such as producing animation, graphics, video editing, developing of web sites, authoring DVD presentations, testing games and designing interfaces. If you are more interested in focusing on technical aspects of multimedia including programming, look at the Certificate IV in Information Technology (Multimedia), ICA40805 instead.

Entry requirements
Preference will be given to applicants who have successfully completed either a Certificate II or III in Multimedia, or other related design areas with multimedia competencies. Other Entry Requirements Students will be selected through an interview, folio submission and written submission (approximately 100 words) describing computer knowledge and prior experience, what motivates them to undertake the course, and what they hope to gain. The folio must consist of examples of creative work including traditional drawings or computer generated images.

Successful completion of this Certificate IV in Multimedia will enable entry to the Advanced Diploma of Multimedia.
Other certificate level courses in multimedia are also available through TAFE, or you may consider a degree course.
