  • Objectives
    This course provides the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career as a visual artist.
  • Entry requirements
    You will need to have successfully completed Year 12 (VCE or its equivalent) or be a mature age entrant. Other Entry Requirements Entry is based on interview and folio presentation, displaying a range of work that is well presented, diverse, original and competent. In addition, your folio must contain six observational drawings executed in any media. Full details of folio requirements and interview procedure will be sent on application.

    Duration Options

    This course is taught through classroom and practically based activities, either full time over 2 years or part time (limited placements available). Full time study is approximately 26 hours per week in the first year and 25 hours per week in the second year. Part time study hours depend on modules chosen.

     Further Study Options     

    Further study opportunities are available both at TAFE and university level. BRIT has articulation agreements with La Trobe University Bendigo for Visual Arts graduates.
