Objectives
This course can serve as your entry pathway to either the Master of Leadership and Management (MLM) or the Master of Business Administration (MBA). It is also a challenging stand-alone course giving you the option to specialise in procurement, leadership and management or to tailor your studies to suit your needs by choosing from a wide range of business topics. This course offers you a foundation in leadership studies and business management. You will complete one core unit studying organisational behaviour at an individual, group and organisational level, exploring issues that are changing the way work is conducted, organised and managed today. The rest of your units will depend on your chosen major: business, energy, leadership and management, procurement or sustainable futures.

Introduction
This course offers students a foundation in leadership studies and business management. Students wishing to specialise in either leadership and management or procurement may opt, instead, to undertake a specialised major. The Graduate Certificate in Business is an ideal course for those wishing to tailor their own study program. It is also an important entry point for those wishing to pursue either a Master of Leadership and Management or Master of Business Administration.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
A bachelor degree and a minimum of one year work experience. Applications may be considered from those who do not have a bachelor degree provided they have significant work experience at a recognisable level of responsibility.
Duration and Availability
This course is between four to six months full-time or equivalent part-time study. It is offered on a trimester (four months) and semester (six months) basis. Course Organisation
The Graduate Certificate in Business (equivalent to a Graduate Business qualification) is awarded on satisfactory completion of one compulsory unit (Organisational Behaviour 550) and three optional units which are listed within a choice of five majors: Business Major, Leadership and Management Major, Procurement Major, Sustainable Futures Major and Energy Major. Students select one major.
