Objectives
The primary objective of this program is to provide professional engineers and scientists with an understanding of environmental issues, problems and solutions and with the necessary knowledge and tools to integrate environmental considerations into all aspects of their work.

Entry requirements
A degree in science, engineering or technology. Graduates from other disciplines will be considered provided that they have an appropriate technical background. However, entry to the Graduate Certificate program is intended to be flexible, so as to provide the opportunity for mature and experienced staff from within Australian industry to enter the program following assessment of their previous experience and taking into account their record of prior learning. Prospective students who do not have the standard entry requirements should contact the University for advice.
Electives
Individual non-standard student programs will be subject to approval by the program controlling Education Committee, which will take into account the students past educational background, the level of the proposed alternative subjects and their coherence with the overall objectives of the program.

About Environmental Management
CQUniversity's Environmental Management programs are designed to enable practitioners to integrate pro-active environmental management strategies into their everyday professional roles. The programs are offered from the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Health.
The programs aim to provide professional engineers and scientists with an in-depth understanding of environmental issues, problems and solutions. They also aim to provide the necessary knowledge and tools to integrate environmental consideration into all aspects of professional scientific and engineering roles.
Career Opportunities
This program extends the knowledge and expertise of engineers and scientists in environmental management. It may also redirect their employment prospects in managerial and policy positions in government and the private sector working as environmental management systems managers, auditors, policy analysts, environmentalist, park rangers and natural resource managers.
