Objectives
This program is specially aimed at the professional upgrading of persons entering or currently employed in the area of maintenance engineering and management. It is designed so that students can apply maintenance strategies, philosophies, procedures and techniques to their own work positions and complete assignments, projects and other tasks by focusing on actual circumstances that exist within their individual workplaces.

Entry requirements
Applicants must have: *current employment in maintenance engineering/maintenance management; plus *an associate diploma or degree in engineering, technology or applied science; or *an industry background for those who do not have a recognised degree or diploma, but possess: a trade qualification; and demonstrated competence in the field of maintenance engineering/maintenance management, with either: + a minimum of two years relevant maintenance management experience; or + a minimum of five years relevant experience in maintenance engineering. Notes: 1. Trade qualified applicants will be enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Maintenance Management and will be allowed to progress to the Graduate Diploma of Maintenance Management only after they have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate. 2. Applicants who do not satisfy all of the above eligibility criteria but are currently employed in an industrial organisation in a maintenance engineering or maintenance management-related role and have the support of their organisation, can apply and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 3. Applicants for individual courses should apply for single, non-award enrolment and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

About Maintenance Management
CQUniversity offers three different distance education programs in maintenance management leading to the qualifications of Graduate Certificate in Maintenance Management, Graduate Diploma of Maintenance Management and Master of Maintenance Management. The programs are specifically aimed at the professional upgrading of persons currently employed in the field of asset and maintenance management.
The development of these programs has been in response to a strong and clearly-voiced demand from industry. The courses within these programs were designed and developed in close cooperation with industry.
The Maintenance Management program aims to produce graduates who understand maintenance philosophies, strategies and processes, have a practical knowledge of the latest maintenance management tools and are able to contribute positively to the management of maintenance in the modern industrial organisation.
