  • Objectives
    This course has as its objectives that graduates:



    - develop skills to write, direct and edit an innovative short motion picture program at the highest professional standard in narrative, documentary, animation or interactive media;



    - experiment and develop their own creativity for screen;



    - develop an understanding of the creative achievements in screen or multimedia culture;



    - can qualify for employment in the film, television and allied industries;



    - are able to contribute to the broad culture of society.
  • Course description
    Students elect to study in one of two strands: animation or visual effects. This is a practical program production course which introduces students to all facets of short program production within the chosen strand, to a level which enables them to realise their major production.

    Both streams cover screenwriting, pre-production, production and post production. Classes, workshops and exercises are predominantly designed to prepare students to achieve a professional standard in their major production.
