Entry requirements
Applicants must have completed a Bachelor degree from an approved institution. All participants will need to satisfy the requirements for gaining a 'blue card' from the Queensland Government's Commission for Children and Young People. International students must also be English language proficiency tested at least at IELTS score 7.0 (No subscore less than 7.0). Candidates must nominate two teaching areas for their teaching specialisation. Please note, students intending to be a primary classroom teacher need not nominate two areas as they will be required to teach across all disciplines. Confirmation of admittance to the program will be based on the ability of the Faculty to source suitable placement.
It is important for students to understand that to undertake the placement they may be required to travel significant distances from the university. This may include the Brisbane region which is 80 kilometers from Bond University. Students will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to attend these schools each day of the practicum.
Important note: No application will be considered unless academic and other conditions of the program are met including submission of evidence of the award of an IELTS score 7.0 (No subscore less than 7.0). If students do not meet all requirements they will either be made an alternative offer and/or be advised to resubmit their application for consideration when all requirements have been met.
Places in this program are very limited and that possession of the minimum requirements does not guarantee a place.
