Objectives
The Master of Information Systems (Advanced) is intended to enable students to study a wider range of units in addition to the core units or to follow a cluster of related units or to carry out a substantial piece of research that may be directly applied and industry-relevant or to follow a research topic.

Prerequisites 1. Bachelor degree with major in a computing discipline; or 2. Bachelor degree in any discipline and a NOOSR-recognised university-awarded postgraduate or graduate diploma in a computing discipline; or 3. Bachelor degree in any discipline and current accreditation as Certified Member of Australian Computer Society.

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
1.1 To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 160 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings consisting of:
1. 60 cp from Core Units; and
2. 100 cp from Electives.
1.2 An applicant who has completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Information Systems or Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems or equivalent may be granted advanced standing.
2. Exit Points
A student who has completed the requirements prescribed for the Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Master of Information Systems may exit from the course with the relevant award.
