Objectives
Relevant to employment of both information technology (IT) and non-IT professionals who recognise the need to acquire knowledge and managerial skills with respect to the role and pervasiveness of information and communications technology and its associated management implications in contemporary organisations. Management Information Systems (MIS) describes the broad opportunities for supporting the application of technologies to business. The study of ebusiness and enterprise systems is an integral part of this area. This course specifically addresses the business and technology issues arising from enterprise use of IT and covers technological, managerial and strategic issues. Students can elect to specialise in one of the following disciplines: Electronic Commerce, Information Systems, Enterprise Systems.
