    This course is designed to extend your academic and research background in science and technology. It is particularly useful if you are a graduate of another scientific discipline seeking employment in a multidisciplinary science environment. The master level course recognises the multidisciplinary nature of many current areas of science and technology and their application in solving real world problems. You will learn to conduct and manage research before undertaking several major research project units. Your research projects will provide you with the opportunity to develop strong communication and research skills while you gain a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of chemistry.

    A bachelor degree in science or equivalent. An honours degree in science or a relevant postgraduate diploma is a prerequisite for direct entry into the second year of this course.

    Introduction

    The Master of Science (Chemistry) offers a range of studies in extending the students knowledge and developing their ability to find efficient and innovative solutions to practical problems pertaining to industry, government and society. This is demonstrated through the study of advanced concepts in specialised units and the completion of a major project.
