Sunraysia Institute of TAFE was established in 1979, offering students up-to-date and relevant courses that are a combination of theoretical and practical learning. The Institute aims to provide quality, effective and accessible education for the regional community; links with industry advisory groups further strengthen abilities to continue lifelong learning.
The four campuses situated across North West Victoria, (Mildura, Swan Hill, Robinvale and Ouyen), aim to meet the needs of students, industry and the wider community. The campuses offer a range of courses in traditional learning environments as well as incorporating delivery modes such as: distance education, flexible learning, outreach programs, online learning and text based correspondence studies.
The Institute offers a vast array of courses from Certificates to Diplomas, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, access and bridging programs to short and enrichment courses.
One of the major issues facing Australia at the present time and in the immediate future is the lack of skilled people to fill vacancies in the workforce. Preparing people of all ages for the workforce is very much the role of TAFE Institutes. Sunraysia Institute of TAFE is able to provide a wide range of courses to help prospective students become work ready because we are the largest provider of vocational education and training in the north west of Victoria.
As well as being a major training provider in the region, the Institute has an employment service called SuniTAFE Employment Solutions that provides recruitment and training services to business and individuals.
